Mr. Mathis practices in the areas of elder law, estate and special needs planning, health care decision making, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, guardianship, conservatorship, probate and trust administration and long term care planning and placement. He works with clients and their families in sometimes difficult situations to facilitate collaborative, informed decisions for the future.
Mr. Mathis also practices in the areas of real estate and health care law. He formerly served as director of policy and communications at the Healthcare Markets & Regulation (HMR) Lab in the Department of Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School and as a health care and entitlements legislative assistant in the United States Senate.
